Let’s Redistrict

Ready or not, the redistricting process has actually been underway for a while. Namely, the public participation part. Austin and Houston are hosting hearings this week at the following locations:

Austin

If you feel its your civic duty to provide testimony, this is your time for it. If you care to see what it’s all about, you can do that as well. I’ll be at UH on Saturday either taking notes or live-blogging.

Among the topics I’d expect to come up: Hispanic representation (possibly for another Hispanic Congressional District) and why 25 House Districts are warranted for Harris County instead of 24.
