The Demographics of Travis County (cont’d.)

Now showing: the other view of demographics within Travis County. An explanation of the color gradiation is below the map. If you prefer a bigger view, right-click the map you want to see and open in a new tab. If you want to poke & prod on Google Earth, here's the KMZ file for that.

Enjoy. I'll be jam-packed for cartographic work in the coming days, but I'm hoping to get a lot of the I-35 corridor mapped out after this one. Life doesn't revolve solely around the big counties, ya know.

Map: Anglo (default) - Hispanic - African-American - Asian
(right click and open in a new window for full-page view of each)

The gradiation breakpoints are slightly modified from the way I've done these maps in the past. The only difference is that the scale for African-American population was recalibrated since they wouldn't show up as prominently with the scale used elsewhere. In any even, the breakpoints are as follows:

             Hispanic Anglo Afr-Am Asian
--------------------------------------------------------
dark green 65%+ 60%+ 50%+ 20%+
green 50-65% 50-60% 35-50% 12.5-20%
light green 35-50% 40-50% 20-35% 8-12.5%
gray 0-35% 0-40% 0-20% 0-8%
