New digs for Ecclesia Church …

Ecclesia Church - 1100 Elder

There’s still a lot of “new” to shake off the place, but it was an exciting time this past weekend. The old facility – 2115 Taft – held (IIRC) about 400 people and I think we’re all a little grateful that there were no fire marshalls worshiping among us most Sunday mornings. At 1100 Elder, we have a max occupancy of 1300, but I’m not sure that we bump that ceiling after chairs are spaced out in the place. It’ll be interesting to see if any legroom develops on Saturday evening services (my usual service). But for now, some serious kudos to the staff, professionals, and volunteers who helped bring this place along. I wish I had more time and a higher tolerance for physical labor to have contributed toward it. But I’m certainly grateful to those that did the work so that I now have a nice, spiffy new building and A/V setup to poke around with. I’m hoping that it’ll really feel like home within a month or so.

New digs for the church, as we were treated to worshipping under the overpass at our future location at 1100 Elder.
